GLOBAL GIFTS POSTER

Every Christmas Caritas Australia sells charity Christmas cards, called Global Gifts. Each year I create A3 and A4 posters to help promote Global Gifts within parishes and community groups. The Global Gifts Campaigns are often designed by Marlin Communications, so for the example shown I used provided elements (such as the angel, stars and irregular circle shapes) and brand guidelines to create the final poster.

This is a student project I completed for a graphic design masterclass. We were asked to create a poster for an exhibition about the birth of colour photography. I wanted to experiment with layer masks in Photoshop to create a pop of colour within a black and white photo. I also liked the idea of using simple geometric shapes to communicate the idea of modernity and… colour! I created the little colour splashes using the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator, and also used some pattern overlays in Photoshop to add texture to the piece.

SCHOOLS GUIDE ADVERTORIAL

I created this simple advertorial for the 2019 Catholic Schools Guide, to help promote Caritas Australia’s annual Project Compassion campaign.
