TREE TALK 2024

As part of my work on Planet Ark’s National Tree Day, I help to produce an annual publication highlighting the wildlife-saving, nature-regenerating work of various community groups, schools and individuals. I am provided with the stories and some images, and design the publication from start to finish, along with social media tiles, eDM banners and related digital assets.

Note: these are excerpts from the 2024 edition. I also designed TreeTalk in 2022 and 2023.

NATIONAL TREE DAY ACTIVITY BOOK

I created this National Tree Day Activity Book for kids. Apart from designing and illustrating the book, I also devised all of the activities and wrote the majority of the copy within it.

The activity book process included:

  • Creating illustrations in Adobe Procreate

  • Fine-tuning illustrations and layout in Photoshop

  • Writing copy

  • Designing the booklet and inserting copy in InDesign

  • Exporting print and digital versions

  • Creation of a black and white version, to be more printer-friendly for those at home

  • Creating all the promotional materials for the activity book, including social media, website banners and thumbnails.

circularity in australian business report

As part of my work for the Australian Circular Economy Hub (ACE Hub), I help to produce various research reports for government, businesses and the wider community. This report - Circularity in Australian Business 2023 - is one example. My work on this included:

  • Development of mood boards (colour scheme, photographic style, pull quote style, layout ideas, etc.)

  • Converting raw data, statistics and mockup charts into fully branded, bespoke graphs (eg., stacked bar charts, pie charts, infographics, etc.)

  • Development of icon sets

  • Full design and layout

  • Photo manipulations

  • Creating all the promotional materials for the report, including social media animations, eDM banners, website banners, email signatures, thumbnails, etc.

BUSINESS ATTITUDES TO RECYCLING REPORT (2025)

I designed this report for Planet Ark’s Recycling Near You, which was produced with partial funding from the NSW Environmental Protection Agency (NSW EPA). My work on the report included:

  • Liaising with staff and stakeholders regarding design direction

  • Converting raw data, statistics and mockup charts into fully branded, bespoke graphs (eg., stacked bar charts, pie charts, infographics, etc.)

  • Development of icon sets

  • Full design and layout

  • Creating all the promotional materials for the report, including social media animations, eDM banners, website banners, email signatures, thumbnails, etc.

This is one of a series of guides I produced for National Recycling Week (Schools Recycle Right), as a resource for schools. My work on this guide included:

I designed this guide as part of a series for National Tree Day (the full suite included guides for councils, schools, homes and communities, as well as site/event guides). My work on this guide included:

  • Creation of all promo assets related to the guides, such as eDM banners, social media tiles, website thumbnails, etc.
